Customer It's great to pull the hood lever and not have to jam my fingers under the hood to find the release latch at the grill. I'm standing by and waiting for ice and snow on the hood to see it has any extra to aid in freeing the hood in those cases. I had to move the base of the mount on the fender away from the firewall to get full advantage of the gas tubes, about 2" the directions have the base mount pushed up to the fire wall on the fender bolt sides. It great not to have to fiddle with the hood rod.
